A very warm welcome to our site. There isn’t enough space on this page to tell you enough about ourselves and what we get up to. So please follow the links below, or from the side menu, for all the detail.

Meon Valley Bowling Club, is about many things – bowls obviously, and also a range of social activities, friendship and support for our members, fun and sometimes frolics. We are a growing community club in both numbers, and ambition to provide facilities and events which meet the needs of existing and potential members.

New people, from complete beginners to seasoned internationals are most welcome, and we provide woods (that’s what bowls are called!) to borrow; and fully qualified coaching for beginners and improvers.

Casual Bowls

We bowl outdoors from mid-April until late September; and indoors on mats in the Pavilion for the rest of the year. Many members play in daily casual roll – ups which deliberately mix players and are great way of getting to know people. There are serious competitions for men and women both within the Club and against others in the Southampton & District League. Just as important are the many friendly matches against local clubs and light hearted one day team events. Summer and winter club tours are an established and popular feature of the Club year.

We would love to meet you, show you around, and let you try bowling on the mats or the green (according to season). Why not come along to our next open day?. The cost of membership is very reasonable and could make your life so much better. So please explore this site and contact us to learn more.
